Emerald City Stunner

This West Seattle family loves to cook together and entertain, but it’s outdated and poorly laid out U-shaped kitchen wasn’t conducive to either. The kitchen was cut off from the rest of the house, and much of the kitchen’s square footage was inefficient. We worked closely with the homeowners to develop and redesign the space, removing walls and windows and utilizing the exterior walls that had been wasted space.

The new open layout with distinctive zones is beneficial to the way the family likes to gather. The island serves the zoned layout beautifully. One side is close to the ovens and stove, the center is close to the sink, and the other side houses the microwave drawer and is close to the fridge and pantry cabinets.
